Mr. Rodgers Nsama Kazembe has over 30 years management, consulting, and academia with expertise in hospitality management, tourism management, food science, nutrition and technology and human resource management. He is the Chairperson & Fellow Member of the Institute of Hospitality Zambia & United Kingdom, the professional body for Managers in the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism industry. He is a member of both the Zambia Institute of Human Resources (MZIHRM) and Royal Institute of Public Health (MRIPH) UK.
Mr. Kazembe currently serves as a full-time lecturer at Chalimbana University’s School of Vocational and Practical Skills Education, Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management Programme in Chongwe. He is also a lead consultant and director of KRN Hospitality Consultancy and works with the Zambia Tourism Agency as an Accommodation Standards Grading Assessor.
He has previously served as a full-time and part-time lecturer at Rockview University, University of Zambia, Chreso University UNICAF University. In addition, he has previously held various management positions in notable hotels in Zambia such as Holiday Inn and Ibis Gardens in Zambia and in England Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza, Piccadilly Ramada International Hotel and Trust House Forte Hotels (THF) with great exposure to Winsor Castle (Queens’ Palace).
He holds a Double Master of Arts in International Hospitality Management from Stenden University in the Netherlands & London Metropolitan University in the UK and post graduate qualifications in Hotel and Catering Administration from the Manchester Metropolitan University-Hollings Faculty in Manchester. Mr. Kazembe is accredited with Technical, Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVETA) as an Examiner, Trainer and Assessor in Leisure, Tourism, Travel and Hospitality programmes in Zambia. He is an International Expert on Restaurant Service and Food Production Skills under WorldSkills.
